Keeping fit and healthy is really important to me. One of my life goals was to run a marathon and I’ve completed two – Amsterdam and Munich. These days I do more swimming, hiking and group PT sessions in the gym.

This photo was taken by my teenage daughter on our recent trip to Venice. We then got on a cruise ship which took us to Montenegro, Croatia, Santorini, Athens and Bologna. The business has enabled me to take her to some fabulous destinations.

HEY! I'M SARAH....

I feel incredibly lucky to be running my own business in a space that really lights me up—Personal Development. I’m based near Manchester in the UK, a city that’s buzzing with energy, sport, and music (and a few famous footballers too)! I’m a solo Mum to my amazing daughter, Carrie, who’s 14 and full of energy—she’s into netball, guides, and absolutely smashing it in year 9. We love living here with the perfect mix of Manchester city life a short tram ride away and the peaceful Cheshire countryside on our doorstep. We are 10 minutes from Manchester airport which is handy as this business has reignited my sense of adventure! I’m an active person —I've completed two marathons and love spending time at the gym and swimming. Making the leap from my job in healthcare market research, to starting my own business, has given me the time freedom I always craved—and it’s been one of the best decisions I have ever made. 

THE PROBLEM THAT LED ME HERE:  My journey into starting my own business kicked off after a pretty tough moment. I lost my job at a healthcare agency—despite hitting targets and giving it my all, I was told there was ‘no one else to let go’ but me. Classic, right? It was one of those wake-up calls. I’d spent years in the corporate world, constantly chasing promotions that never came, always feeling like I was waiting for someone else to give me permission to move forward. I loved the patient education side of things and really valued the insights work—but the pace was relentless. You’d get one thing ticked off and five more would land. I was burnt out. I knew I needed a change and I started looking for a way to create something of my own—something that gave me time freedom and a real sense of purpose. 

WHAT LED ME TO SUCCESS:  I have always had an interest in personal growth, but things really shifted after I went to a Tony Robbins event a few years back. I was at a bit of a crossroads in my career—working in healthcare market research, feeling stuck and unsure of what would be next for me. I looked into life coaching, but it didn’t quite speak to me. Still, it lit a spark as to what might be possible. Personal Development has helped me realise you don’t have to keep waiting around for someone else to give you the promotion or to tell you what’s next. I had a lightbulb moment when I came across this business —I can actually do this myself. I immersed myself in the community and compared to the corporate world, it just feels so different—it’s positive, empowering and full of possibility. 

For the first time, I felt like I had real freedom: freedom to decide, to grow, and to create a version of success that was mine.

THE BUSINESS THAT WAS A BOOM: The business I found that day is the one I’m proud to still be running now—partnering with world-class Personal Development products and reaching people across the globe. I set up my business in 2019 when I was holiday in Barbados. It truly is a portable business – my business now goes wherever I go!
